Deficiency
There are two hormones that make up the hypothyroidism hormone. The first is thyroxine (T4) and the second is triiodothyroine (T3). There are usually twenty times more thyroxine released in the blood than triiodothyroine. As these hormones are released, they increase the basal metabolic rate of the person. This increase affects the regulation of protein, fat, and carbs.
If you have an imbalance of thyroxine, you can suffer from two possible diseases. This is caused by an excess of the circulating free thyroine. The second disorder is thyroid treatment guide. This disorder is caused by a deficiency of thyroxine.
